Mahon China was founded by David Mahon in 1985 and is a partnership. Over the past 24 years, we have developed a reputation as a reliable business advisor and private equity investment manager.
Since the 1980s, Mahon China has represented the interests of multinational industrial and financial groups and small- and medium-sized companies in China. These include domestic Chinese and foreign businesses, listed investment companies, and private family offices and investment trusts.
Mahon China has secured a track record in China private equity as manager and general partner for four private equity China funds. We have directly managed a large number and variety of Chinese businesses and have also restructured and realised value from a number of troubled foreign-invested assets in China.

Mahon China has developed deep networks throughout China at the national, provincial and city level, among both business and government offices. We currently act in an advisory capacity to the municipal government of a rapidly growing coastal city. This includes negotiating with foreign investors on the city's behalf, and organising and accompanying delegations of city officials and entrepreneurs to assess business opportunities outside China.
